Chris Kennedy is Head of Engineering for the Balfour Beatty Highways business and a member of its Senior Leadership Team. With over 20 years’ experience in the highways sector, Chris has played a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. Since joining Balfour Beatty in 2007, he has held several senior operational and engineering roles. A Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Chris is passionate about driving innovation and continuous improvement across the sector. He is a strong advocate for digital delivery, promoting the use of data, technology, and modern methods of construction to improve efficiency, safety, and collaboration. Chris is also committed to carbon reduction, championing sustainable design and construction practices that support the industry’s transition to net zero contributing to long-term environmental resilience.
