Dr Michael Rustell, CEng, MICE, is the CEO of Inframatic who build AI for engineering workflows and previously a Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Brunel University. He holds an Engineering Doctorate in design automation has extensive experience in maritime, oil & gas and nuclear as well as in developing software for large, safety-critical systems, including projects such as the Thames Tideway Tunnel. Dr Rustell regularly writes for the Institution of Civil Engineers, New Civil Engineer and Rail Professional on the intersection of AI and engineering design. He is also a member of the BSI AI committee, ASCE AI Task Force and serves as a UK PIANC delegate.
