David started his career as a Construction Site Engineer for a multi-national construction company, on several high-profile projects in Northern Ireland before moving into SH&E within construction, working on multi-million-pound projects across the UK and Ireland.
After a decade working for a Principal Contractor, David moved to Translink (Northern Ireland Railways) and become responsible for the Rail Infrastructure Manager Safety Management System with a keen focus on Track Worker Safety, Culture and Assurance.
David, now Head of Infrastructure & Projects SH&E for Translink, is responsible for leading Rail Infrastructure and Construction Safety, health and environment. David leads a highly driven team of SH&E professionals focussed on ensuring passenger, staff, infrastructure and environmental safety whilst Translink maintain operational facilities and approx. £280M worth of annual capital investment in construction projects.
