The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) represents the interests of piling, foundation and geotechnical contractors across the UK, promoting the highest levels of technical ability, quality and safety and it sets standards for the whole sector. Through its Associate Membership scheme the FPS also represents associated geotechnical trades, sectors and plant manufacturers in their members supply chain that have a shared interest in the common goals and aims of the FPS.

FPS members are independently audited every three years to ensure they meet and maintain these standards. It is a proactive association, developing technical and safety guidance, as well as contributing to the development of British and International standards. The FPS is also active in the field of training, providing Apprenticeships and running safety courses for the geotechnical industry.
