Ali Nicholl is a Director for Data & Digital at Connected Places Catapult, where he leads national engagement on digital infrastructure, data sharing, cyber-physical systems and Infratech adoption. With over 20 years’ experience in data and digital innovation, Ali has designed and delivered multi-million-pound public–private programmes focused on infrastructure resilience, interoperability, and responsible AI. He is a recognised leader in the UK’s cyber-physical and digital twin ecosystem serving as Director of the DT Hub working closely with government, industry, and high-potential businesses to accelerate adoption at scale. Prior to joining the Catapult, Ali was part of the founding team at IOTICS, who deployed federated digital twins and data governance in regulated markets. Today, he advises organisations on enabling proof to travel, supporting high potential businesses to scale, and unlocking value from data-driven infrastructure systems.
