Jon de Souza is the Innovation, Research and Collaboration Lead at Galliford Try. Jon has been with the organisation for 14 years, leading innovation activity since 2017. Prior to joining Galliford Try, Jon worked for Constructing Excellence as part of the national team, where he led sector-based initiatives designed to deliver built environment sector change. Jon has been involved in a number of partnerships between industry and academia including KTPs and other Innovate UK supported projects as well as developing Galliford Try’s successful studentship programme. He has been involved in industry initiatives including i3P, the National Platform and the Strategic Forum. At Galliford Try, Jon is responsible for supporting primary innovation through partnership working, developing Galliford Try’s claims under the R&D tax credit scheme and improving collaboration, including through the adoption of ISO:44001.
