Dan Scott is Chief Data Scientist and Head of AI for WSP UK & Ireland and one of the UK's leading practitioners in the application of artificial intelligence to infrastructure and the built environment. He leads teams delivering advanced data science, optimisation and AI solutions across transport, water, energy and government sectors, helping clients tackle complex operational and strategic challenges.

Having spent more than two decades working at the intersection of engineering, asset management and digital transformation, Dan brings a combination of deep technical knowledge and practical industry experience. His work spans machine learning, decision intelligence, data architecture and enterprise-scale digital systems, with a particular focus on translating emerging technologies into measurable business and operational outcomes. As a judge for NCE TechFest, he is particularly interested in innovations that demonstrate real-world value, responsible deployment and tangible benefits for infrastructure owners, operators and society.
